Slovak Government Scholarship 2024 – Fully Funded

The Slovak Republic is now taking applications for the Slovak Government Scholarship 2024 through the National Scholarship Program for students from other countries. The goal of this program is to help students, study, Ph.D. applicants, university teachers, researchers, and artists from all over the world visit and work in Slovak institutions.

It is the Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sports of the Slovak Republic that plans and pays for the National Scholarship Program (NSP). Eligibility Criteria:

All entrants who want to take part in the National Scholarship Program 2024 in Slovakia must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants should be from all over the world, except for Slovakia.
  • To qualify for the National Scholarship Program 2024, students can do any of the three things below:

A) students who are:

  • University students at universities outside Slovakia;
  • These college students are in their second year (master’s students), or
  • by the deadline for applications, students who have already finished at least two and a half years of college in the same school;

B) Ph.D. students

  • If you went to college or got your scientific training outside of Slovakia and are accepted by a public, private, or state university or research institution in Slovakia that is allowed to offer a doctoral study program2 (for example, the Slovak Academy of Sciences), you can study, do research, or be an artist in Slovakia.

C) International university teachers, researchers, and artists

  • who have been asked to teach, do research, or be creative in Slovakia by an organization that has a valid certificate saying it can do research and development and is not a business. This organization must have its headquarters in Slovakia.

Duration of National Scholarship Programme

As I already said, the National Scholarship Program 2024 of the Republic of Slovakia is a short-term exchange program that gives students money to continue their studies at the university level in Slovakia. Here are the times for all of the above groups.

  • For students, the grant lasts for one to two full semesters, which are four to five months or nine to ten months, or for one to three full trimesters, if the school year is split into those units.
  • Ph.D. students can stay on a grant for 1 to 10 months.
  • University teachers, students, and artists can stay on a scholarship for one to ten months.
