Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

  • People who want to apply must be citizens of a country that has formal ties with Japan.

Educational Background:

  • Master’s or Integrated Doctoral Program: Applicants must have finished 16 years of schooling outside of Japan or be on track to do so before they can join.
  • PhD Program: Applicants must have a degree from a university outside of Japan that is equal to a master’s degree or a professional master’s degree, or they will have to get one before they can enroll.

  • Have earned or expect to earn by the time they start at Tokyo Tech a bachelor’s or graduate degree from a school where all classes were taught in English or Japanese (those people can apply for IELTS Exemption).
  • Levels of English or Japanese skills that are at least as good as those listed in (1) must be shown as proof.

  • The TITech Tuition Reduction Scholarship pays for all of the tuition.
